Sure, I draw from them as I need.
But not a bit more than I actually need.

I will whole heartedly participate in 50 crore plantation program in the forthcoming monsoons for the next 3 years.
I have enrolled myself as a volunteer of ‘ Green Army ‘ on the State Governments portal www.greenarmy.mahaforest.gov.in
I pledge to encourage my family members, friends, relatives and all others to participate in this mission.
I shall strive hard to plant many flower, fruit and shade bearing and ornamental trees.
I also pledge to protect them, tend to them, water to them and look after their healthy survival.
I pledge to participate in the all the programs related to forests, wild-life, bio-diversity, social forestry and environment.
I resolve to take forward this Green Maharashtra Mission.

For Environmental protection forests are important and they are equally useful to fulfil different needs of human beings. Forest are directly and indirectly connected to daily life of human like as fresh air (oxygen) and forest produced. So that purpose increase of Forest cover, Conservation of forest area , wildlife conservation and protection these three things are important and Forest department set an agenda to work upon. Forest are one of the natural prosperity of human. It can be possible revival the forest cover but requires a best forestry Management practices. Forests are made up of land, trees, animals, small living creatures. These component of the forest work as complement to each other if any one of these component change or reduce it will affect and disturb whole environmental cycle. These components helps and make balance of biodiversity and environment.

1. To create a social platform to involve the citizenry in activities relating to forest & wildlife (conservation, protection and preservation).
2. Increase in effective Public participation

How to Join Green Army-

To Join Green Army (Maharashtra) members need to register on the official portal of Green Army Maharashtra: www.greenarmy.mahaforest.gov.in

Documents required for registration (Individual/Organizational)

1. Aadhar Card

3. Driving Licenses
4. Electoral Voter ID Card
5. School/College ID card
6. Passports
7. Organization Registration Number

1. To actively participate in different activities and programs organized by Maharashtra Forest department like:
   • Plantation
   • Group patrolling for conservation of forest
   • Volunteering for Wild-life census
   • Volunteering to prevent Forest fires
   • Celebration of commemorative days/ international observance/international days by Maharashtra Forest Department for propagating awareness regarding Forest, Wildlife and Environment
   • Active participation in Forest festivals like (Forest week & Wildlife week )
   • Active participation in organizing awareness drives like cycle rally, road shows, road site dramas, prabhat pheri etc.
2. Green Army member can also participate in forest, wild life, nature and environment related programmes/activities into their respective forest area/divisions/circles.

Action plan of Maharashtra Green Army

Primarily for School Children on the pattern of National Green Army (GoI Scheme)

1. The Maharashtra Forest Department will reward exceptional contributions by means of certificates, awards and other planned means of recognition.
2. The members can find a legitimate, challenging outlet to bring their ideas for ecological commitment into social and participative action.
3. The can use their volunteer experience for their personal and professional benefit.
4. Discount on entry fees/ charges levied by Forest Department is also under active consideration.
